Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Simone Nitzan ("Simone," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information through Simone Nitzan Courses at simone.thinkific.com, including our online courses, live classes, replays, course materials, and related emails (together, the "Services"). Simone Nitzan is a sole proprietor based in Ontario, Canada.
We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and any other privacy laws that apply to you.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us:
- Account and contact details: your name, email address, and password. Your password is stored by our course platform, and we can't see it.
- Purchase details: what you bought, the price, the date, and billing details such as your name, country, and postal code. Card numbers are handled by our payment processor. We never see or store them.
- Course activity and content you share: your progress, quiz or assignment responses, comments or community posts, questions, and messages you send us.
- Live class participation: your name or display name, and anything you choose to share by camera, microphone, or chat.
Information collected automatically:
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser, device type, operating system, pages viewed, and lessons accessed.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see section 7.
- Email engagement: whether our emails are opened and which links are clicked.
2. Health information
We don't ask for health or medical information. You may choose to share details about an injury, pain, or a medical condition, for example when asking a question in class or by email.
If you do, we use it only to respond to you and tailor our guidance. We don't use it for marketing, and we don't share it except with the service providers needed to deliver the Services. Please don't post health details where other students can see them, such as community discussions or live class chat.
3. How we use your information
- Deliver the courses and live classes you sign up for, including account access, replays, and course materials.
- Process payments and refunds, and send receipts, access details, and class reminders.
- Respond to your questions and provide support.
- Send marketing emails about courses, retreats, and events, as described in section 5.
- Understand how the Services are used so we can improve them.
- Measure and improve our advertising.
- Keep records required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes, and prevent fraud or misuse.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Live classes and recordings
Live classes are held on Zoom or a similar video platform and may be recorded so enrolled students can watch replays. Recordings focus on the instructor. However, your name, image, voice, or chat messages may occasionally appear if your camera or microphone is on or you speak during a session.
Replays are available only to students enrolled in that course, through our course platform or video hosting provider. We may also use recording, transcription, or note-taking tools, some of which use artificial intelligence, to create class notes and improve course materials.
To limit what appears in recordings, you can keep your camera off, stay muted, change your display name, or send questions privately. If you'd like something about you removed from a replay, email us and we'll do what we reasonably can. We won't use recordings that show you in public marketing without your permission.
5. Email marketing and consent
When you give us your information to buy a course, create an account, or join a class, you consent to our using it for that purpose.
We send marketing emails only with the consent required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and other applicable laws:
- Free signups: if you sign up for a free resource or our newsletter, we ask for your consent when you sign up.
- Purchases: if you buy from us, we may email you about related courses, retreats, and events for up to two years after your purchase, unless you unsubscribe.
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also withdraw consent at any time by emailing [email protected]. Unsubscribing from marketing doesn't stop service emails about a course you've bought, such as receipts, access details, and class reminders.
6. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the Services, and only what they need to do their job. These include:
Provider | What they do for us |
|---|---|
Thinkific | Course hosting, student accounts, and checkout |
Payment processors, such as Stripe and PayPal | Processing payments and refunds |
Kit (formerly ConvertKit) | Email marketing and course emails |
Zoom | Live classes and recordings |
Google Workspace | Email and file storage |
Google Analytics | Website analytics |
Meta (Facebook and Instagram) | Advertising and ad measurement |
Recording, transcription, and note-taking tools | Class recordings and notes |
These providers have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.
We may also disclose personal information if required by law, such as in response to a court order, or to protect the rights or safety of our students, ourselves, or others. If the business is sold or transferred, personal information may be transferred to the new owner, who must protect it in line with this policy.
7. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
Our course platform uses cookies that are necessary for logging in, checking out, and tracking your course progress. We may also use:
- Analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the site.
- Advertising tools, such as the Meta Pixel, to measure how our ads perform, show our ads to people who have visited our site, and reach people with similar interests. These tools may collect information about your visit, such as pages viewed and purchases, and connect it to your account with those companies.
- Hashed email matching: we may share a securely hashed (scrambled) version of your email address with advertising platforms to show you our ads, or to avoid showing them to existing students. You can ask us to stop by emailing us.
Your choices:
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features, like logging in, may not work without them.
- Opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.
- Manage your ad preferences in your Meta account settings.
- Learn more about interest-based advertising in Canada at youradchoices.ca.
We don't currently change our practices in response to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
8. Where your information is stored
Our service providers may store and process your information outside your province or country, including in the United States. While it is there, it may be accessible to courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities under local law.
9. How long we keep your information
- Account and course data: while your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward in case you return or need help.
- Purchase and tax records: as long as tax law requires, which in Canada is generally six years.
- Class recordings: for as long as we offer replays of that course.
- Marketing data: until you unsubscribe. We keep a record of your unsubscribe so we don't email you again.
When we no longer need information, we delete or anonymize it.
10. How we protect your information
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. These include using reputable service providers with industry-standard security, limiting access to people who help run the business, and securing our accounts. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we'll notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
11. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Give you access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete your information, except where we must keep it for legal or tax reasons.
- Withdraw your consent to a particular use, such as marketing.
- Tell you which third parties we've shared it with.
Email [email protected] to make a request. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, such as Quebec or certain U.S. states, you may have additional rights, and we'll honour them as required by law.
If you have a concern, please contact us first so we can try to fix it. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) or your provincial or state privacy regulator.
12. Age requirement
The Services are intended for adults. You must be the age of majority where you live to create an account or make a purchase. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have, we'll delete it.
13. Links to other websites
The Services may link to other websites and apps. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy doesn't apply to them.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time and will change the "Last updated" date when we do. If we make a material change, we'll notify you by email or with a notice on the site before it takes effect.
15. Contact us
